Product Overview
The Merlin 2000S is a gas pressure proving and ventilation interlock system designed for commercial kitchens. Using gas pressure proving technology, the system checks for open appliances or gas leaks before allowing gas to be introduced to the kitchen. The controller also continually monitors the incoming gas supply for high and low pressure conditions.
Ventilation interlocking ensures the required supply and extract fans are running before the gas supply can be enabled, helping maintain safe ventilation within the kitchen. The Merlin 2000S can interlock with up to four fans using remote current sensors or air pressure differential switches.
The controller can also be connected to Canadian Gas Safety gas detectors, allowing the gas supply to be automatically isolated if a hazardous gas condition is detected. Remote emergency shut-off buttons can also be connected where additional isolation points are required.
The Merlin 2000S provides connectivity for fire alarm and Building Management Systems (BMS), allowing it to integrate with wider building safety systems. By combining gas pressure proving, ventilation interlocking and gas detection connectivity within a single panel, the system provides a straightforward solution for commercial kitchen gas safety.
